Sukoon is much more than a holiday home or a resort for Nupur Sharma and Pradeep Kant. It is a dream come true, after more than 10 years of their diligence, passion and hard work. ..Sukoon is a passion project for Nupur Sharma and Pradeep Kant, who have both had long and successful careers in the corporate world, prior to shifting their base permanently from Delhi to the hills of Uttarakhand.
For over 20 years, Nupur had successfully handled profiles such as Brand Management, Digital Marketing as well as traditional Sales & Marketing, for several MNCs, at the highest possible levels. Similarly, Pradeep has over 35 years of experience as an Advertising and Brand Management professional, and has worked with the heads of most leading advertising agencies in India, as well as several world-class FMCG companies, based in India.
Despite being at the top of their respective careers, both Nupur and Pradeep often dreamed of giving up their hectic lives in Delhi, and moving to the hills, to lead a simple and peaceful life. To a place where they could share their love for nature, with their young daughter Arya and also positively impact the locals, by creating meaningful bonds between urban dwellers and the local communities.
Sukoon is a passion project to build an environmentally-friendly and socially responsible leisure and wellness retreat, while keeping the negative ecological impact of our activities as low as possible. ..We have designed our cottages to aesthetically blend in the rustic rural charm of Uttarakhand with modern sensibilities that our guests are used to. The interiors of our cottages are elegantly minimalistic, without compromising on style and comfort. Our cottages immerse you in the beauty of nature, and are tastefully designed with locally sourced wood, stone, mud and other organic materials.
Moreover, there are no televisions in the cottages, which will help guests get in touch with nature and their own inner peace, and each other.

We are committed to create additional sources of livelihood for neighbourhood rural communities, preserve regional traditions and culture as well as promote the rich bio-diversity of Uttarakhand for future generations.
We work either directly or indirectly with many locals, including farmers, craftsman and artisans, creating employment opportunities for the local people living in nearby villages such as Dharar, Sirmauli and Pantgaon. This is especially critical in the certain times created by the Covid pandemic, where many locals who were working in urban centres have returned home, after being left jobless.
Everything you see at Sukoon is locally manufactured, and is either re-cycled or up-cycled. We use refurbished wood from old abandoned homes and structures, to ensure that we cause as little disturbance to the forests as possible.
Team Sukoon goes beyond Nupur and Pradeep. At Sukoon, we believe in providing employment to the people of our surrounding villages. Bringing a change for better living, one family at a time.
